Harmony remotes warranty policy.

If anyone is thinking of buying a 2nd hand Harmony remote please be aware that the warranty isn't transferable brought a 2 week old remote that packed up after 8 months, thought it wouldn't be a problem getting it replaced, how wrong i was, Harmony told me

Quote:
Logitech's warranty policy is non-transferable and applies to the original user only
They did offer to sell me a 525 for 55 euros though.

So if your looking to buy a 2nd hand one it worth remembering it won't have any warranty with it.

Re: Harmony remotes warranty policy.

Do you know if it is a UK supplied one?

If so, do you know where it was bought from as they may be able to exchange it for you, because I know that they are a little lacks on checking stuff being returned via the UK distributor.

Re: Harmony remotes warranty policy.

Slightly off topic, but I bought a Harmony 1000 (new) from a chap in the U.S, and it was broken when I received it. I called the Logitech support number, and they ended up sending me a new European model with the right plug on it

I got the chap in the US to make me a receipt (he owned a pet store or something), and Logitech accepted this. It was literally just a duff looking PDF. Logitech never wanted the old one back.

Saying that, I will be contacting them this week, as my newest one is now also broken!!
