Two identical devices, Harmony

If I have 2 indentical devices, say stereo amps. Would a Harmony 1000 remote just see them as 1, assuming I have IR dongles on them both? The remote would just send the same commands to both and they'd be controlled exactly the same?

Re: Two identical devices, Harmony

They will behave the same as the original remote would behave.

If the original remote allows you to set to different codes so as to have diffferent signals to control 2 similar devices then you could reprogram the harmony to send 2 different sets of codes.

If you device wont do that, then the harmony will send the code and both devices will react to it. Just the same as if you used either original remote.

Re: Two identical devices, Harmony

could use the harmony 895 and use them on the RF IR blaster on separate channels to control them independently...
