Samsung remote control codes

I've just purchased a Samsung le38m87 tv. According to the book I should be able to use the remote for an STB and DVD. For SKY, I have typed in 031 as per the manual, the STB buttom flashes 3 times as expected but this still won't operate the SKY box.
Have also tried the same thing for the Sony DAV S400 home theatre, but again none of the codes supplied will work (026 029 126 127 128 129 130 141)
Am I just being a silly old git or does anyone else have the same problem or better still a solution!

I bought the same telly yesterday (well, LE40M86BD which has the same internals) and found the same issue trying to get the remote to control the Sky box.
No solution from me, so I'll watch this thread too..
