Harmony or Kameleon?

So I am trying to decide between the:

Kameleon 8
Harmony 555
Harmony 525

Harmony 555 and Kameleon 8 are around £52 from amazon
Harmony 525 is £35

I want to control KDL32D3000,Sony av unit (oldish), DHX850, ntl samsung box and a panasonic vid. Thats about it any suggestions of easy of use etc. I have browsed the forums and see they all have good write ups. Some user views would be useful.

Re: Harmony or Kameleon?

Kameleons and Harmonys are two different species; the latter being much the more intelligent.
Easy setup - no searching for codes and entering them.
Will control anything.
Asks you what you want to do, you tell it, it does it.
Works all the devices you want it to work at any one time, without switching from one to the other.
Etc., etc.

My experience says Harmony. They can be a fiddle to get set up, but, once done....they work, every time. The Kameleon's require too much understanding, and really don't work for non-techy members of the household. And the Harmony's are just as capable with most kit, once you've worked out how to set them up.

My 5 year old can work the Harmony (not that I let her in the room generally) - no way could she have used the Kameleon.
