Logitech Harmony 1000 and 1000 Advanced- Is there a difference?

Hi there

I'm interested in buying one of the Logitech Harmony 1000 products, but am a little confused?

If there a difference between the
1. Logitech Harmony 1000 - Touch Screen Universal Remote Control: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Har...0130561&sr=1-1 (amazong at: £195), and the
2. Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote Control : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Har...0129984&sr=1-1 (at amazon for £202)

Out of interest, is there anything else on the market that compares?
- Is the Harmony one, a later product?

Hi Giles - They are one and the same. Also, the Harmony 1 hasn't been released yet.

The Harmony One has not been released yet but it is due out soon (Feb I think) - it looks like a lovely remote (there is a thread on it) but I guess we won't know the full details until a few people buy them and post comments here.

I am looking at a universal remote myself and am thinking of the Harmony 895 ahead of the 1000 as I want a remote with buttons, you get to know where the buttons are so don't need to be looking at the remote all the time. Also, I need a remote that can control equipment that is hidden and the 895 comes with an IR extender.

Hi Ross. Just so no-one gets mislead here, the 1000 can also control hidden kit with the use of the optional RF wireless extender(Logitech) that can be purchased seperately.

Mine works flawlessly with the 1000.
