Toshiba remote control configuration

Hello everyone. I hope this is not a silly question but I have a Toshiba 32WLT66 tv which is great, and that came with a CT8992 remote, I bought them last year around Sept time. I also bought a Toshiba DVD player/burner at the same time its a DVD-D-D-160 which has its own remote control an SE R0228.

How can I get the DVD player to recognise the CT8002 remote? There is a side slide switch to move from "tv" control mode to "dvd" control mode, but this has no effect whatsoever. Any assistance much appreciated.

Hi hopefully you have sorted things out regarding this, I am looking for one of these toshiba remotes SE-R0228. Can you get back to me if you still have this kind regards........
