Harmony "Multi-Device Control" - what is it ?

This crops up as a highlight on certain Harmony remotes on their website, but I am not sure exactly what it means ?

All the remotes control multiple devices, so can anyone clarify this "feature" for me ?

Cheers,

nwpsys
