Blank Screen on SBC-RU940 Pronto Boot

I have just dug out my SBC-RU940 after a few years and put 4 new AA batteries in, only to find out that when I turn it on the backlight eluminates but that is it- no display; no nothing.

The screen isn't cracked and i've tried with other batteries.

I've also connected it to ProntoEdit and reinstalled the firmware...

It was working a few years ago and am just wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Thanks.

If you twiddle the contrast dial does the screen go from all light to all dark?

Have you tried reloading a fairly simple config to it from prontoedit?

Re: Blank Screen on SBC-RU940 Pronto Boot

The contrast knob does not do anything. The screen stays the same colour, even witht he backlight turned on.

I've loaded a basic config as well but no help.

I'm thinking it may be a connection inside that has come loose, but I can't seem to undo the two screws under the battery connectors, which are the most ridiculous connectors ever...
