Which Harmony remote for me??

I'm also looking for a remote to control all my gear, I currently have 6 remotes:

XBOX
XBOX 360
PS3 (Bluetooth, might not be possible)
Yamaha AV 59 Amplifier (RX-V359)
Samsung LE40F71BX LCD TV
Grundig GUSTBHDMI Upscaling Freeview STB

Questions:
i) Can someone recommend a remote that will control all these devices?
ii) How easy is it to set-up the remote?
iii) Will I lose any of the feature or controls I have on the original remotes?

Bump,

OK, looks like the choices here are 555, 785 & 885. I just want to be able to check my equipment works before I buy.

Is there anywhere I can get a comprehensive list of devices that work with these remotes?

I read in another thread that you can do a trial run, how is this possible? I downloaded the software from Logitechs site but it won't go past the "searching for remote" part.

Re: Which Harmony remote for me??

I seemed not to detect the AV59, offered setting for AV50, but that should be okay.

You can work on the assumption that the 555 supports all of your kit, therefore all of them should support it.

The 555 is a great remote, well worth the money.

One thing to remember is that you can train the remote also, so as long as you have the original remote, it could handle what you want.

Re: Which Harmony remote for me??

Another quick question if you don't mind, I've seen a cracking price for the 880 but I really liked the look of the 785.

Has anyone had a touch and feel of both of these remotes and can advise of which one feels the most substantial and is the most quality in terms of it's build and functionality?

TIA

Re: Which Harmony remote for me??

I have to say, i do have the same problem.

I am in a quandry about if to get the 885, the 895 or the 785. I think i am going to give the 555 a miss.

With my new set up (tele, g800 speaker thing, bt vision, free view, ps3 and xbox 360) i have several remotes. To the point where the misses had to phone me when i was cycling through central London and ask me how to turn the tele on!

From what i can gather the 895 and the 885 have the RF as a difference (RF doesnt really interest me)

I can't really get what the difference is between the 885 and the 785 to make it 25GBP higher in price. The 885 seems to have been out for ages, the 785 seems more recent.

Why should i get teh 885 over the 785?

Re: Which Harmony remote for me??

There are a load of 880's for sale on ebay?

What is this remote, I can't find it on the Logitech website, is this the US version of the 885 or a complete different animal.

Looks like the main difference between 785 and 885 is that the latter is rechargeable?? Might be wrong though.

Re: Which Harmony remote for me??

Both the 785 and 885 are rechargeable.

The 880 is the US version of the 885 and does not have the coloured buttons (although these can be placed on the LCD screen).
