Multiple IR senders into one IR receiver?
Hi All
I have an HDanywhere 4x4 Singlewire Matrix which send HD video and audio from my Sky HD box, Panasonic PVR/Blu Ray, Popcorn Hour media player, and PS3 to 3 screens in my house. I also have 3 Logitech Harmony remotes.
The HD Anywhere SHOULD send IR signal to all the devices but every time I connect the IR blasters the IR pretty much fails everywhere; I have sent the unit back and HDanywhere have tested it their end and evidently found no issues so sent it back with one small part replaced. Anyway, although I'm not happy that the unit fails to work for me I'm pretty much giving up with the HDanywhere support; I'm not taking everythign down AGAIN just so they can send it straight back to me.
So, on to plan B. If I disconnect the IR from the HDanywhere it works great as an HDMI matrix so I'm lookign for something purely to send IR commands from 3 seperate rooms wirelessly to my source devices.
I'm aware of pyramid devices etc but not sure how many I will need exactly. My soruce devices are in a cupboard on different shelves for starters (although I could squash on or two together) and as I have 3 remotes would I also need three receivers in the AV cupboard?
Any other ideas that may be simpler, cheaper than the pyramid idea?
I've attached a photo of my cupboard incase it's of any interest.
