Hello.
Im setting a media center using a raspberrypi and xbmc ( i still havent the raspberrypi with me but it will arrive in the next weeks). So i will need something to control the media center menus and so im asking for the help of those who have media centers longer than me.

Between a remote control (regular looking kind) and a wireless mini keyboard with touchpad, like this Rii:

But right now im not sure on what to pick. I have a gift card to use and if i pick the keyboard the total amount would only make me spend 5$ out of my pocket, which seems reasonable. The remote however, would be a non brand one and it would cost something like 7$, so i would still have money left on that gift card but there isn't a lot of things i can get from amazon.com because of the extra cost on shipping and other fees.

So, to summarize, in your experience and opinion, which one would you pick? A remote or a mini wireless keyboard for htpc's?

i am about to buy this for my pi - as my keysonic wireless keyboard is a bit big and cumbersome now.

I saw that one there also and was interested in it but after the shipping costs and all of that it gave me more than double of the price ( cant remember the exact number), so i looked for other ones.
The one i posted (the one in the picture) is a Rii and i only have to put 5$ because of the 25$ gift card i have. The reviews for it are good and its small, it has the size of regular remote.
But the thing is, since i never had a media center, if an actual remote with its layout of keys would be more practical to use than a keyboard like the rii, or even that one you posted.

I have been looking into buy a RII mini keyboard but the store that sold with a good price for my country is currently out of stock and its not known where it will be back.
I did found 2 similar products on the store that go for around the same price of the rii and they are these two :

I was first interested on the first one because it seems to be also a universal remote, so it would remove the need for a remote for the tv and it seems to be bluetooth. But i don't know if the brand is reliable or not and if the keyboard is has a back light or not.
The second one resembles the rii ones but with a trackball. The downside of it is that it doesnt have the universal remote part, so the first seems to be the more interesting one.

I would just like to know if anyone has this keyboard or tried one, this might even be a copy of a more famous one(not sure) and i don't know if HDE is known or reliable brand or not, because i have read good reviews on the Rii but nothing on HDE products.
