Sumvision Micro 2 Pronto?

All..

I'm hoping to use my original Pronto to work my Sumvision Cyclone Micro 2 after the original remote has gone walkabout..

I've trawled the WWW looking for this, to no avail..

Is there any chance some Pronto-owner out there already has it programmed and could email me their CCF? Or advise me of the codes to use?

Cheers,
Gerard

Hi, What Pronto do you use?

I seem to remember mu RU950 had a setup where you went to a certain page in the settings and could point the remote and it would search until it turned the item on/off an then you could see which codes built in were compatible!

Found this in the RU950 manual

Searching the Brand and Code Set for your device
1 Press the left hard button below the touch screen for
3 seconds.
The Tools menu appears.
2 Tap Brand in the Tools Menu.
The ‘Brand Tool’ screen appears.
3 Tap in the ‘Brand Tool’ screen.
The Device Overview appears.
4 In the Device Overview, tap the Device for which you want to define
the brand.
The ‘Brand Tool’ screen appears.
5 Tap in the ‘Brand Tool’ screen.
The ‘Brands’ screen appears.
Searching the brand
1 Tap in the ‘Brands’ screen.
The ‘Searching the Brand’ screen appears.
2 Tap and point Pronto at the device.
The ‘Searching’ screen appears. Pronto searches through the list of brands, by
sending out an IR code for each brand.
3 When the device for which you are defining the brand, responds to the
IR code, tap in the ‘Searching’ screen.
The ‘Installing the Brand’ screen appears.
4 To install the brand and code set, follow the instructions described in
“Installing the brand” on page 17.

Hi...

I have an SBC RU940/00 which doesn't appear to have the feature you described.. Or, at least, not any way I could find it.

Thanks for trying, though!

Take a look at the user manual here (pages 11 & 12 may help) it says:-

Defining brands by searching
You can use Search mode to find the matching RC codes for your device when:
· your brand is not displayed in the list of brands,
· you selected your brand, but you do not know which code set to select.
3. Tap Next.
The display shows a scrollable list of brands for the selected device and a
virtual auto-zooming mini-keyboard.
4. Tap Search.
The Remote Control automatically searches through all available brands and
code sets to find the matching RC codes for your device.
5. Tap Next to start sending appropriate commands for the selected device.
6. Tap OK when the device reacts.
The Remote Control switches to Try mode. The first control panel of selected
device is displayed.
7. Try out the buttons on the different control panels and check if the device is
responding to the RC codes the Remote Control is sending.

Hopefully you may have some luck!

According to the review for my model:
RC User Reviews: Philips Pronto RU940 Remote Control (1)

"Unlike the US TSU2000, it does not include a preprogrammed database."

DOH!

Thanks (again) for trying, though.

My research shows the RU940 has a database. Maybe just try the instructions if you haven't already! You've nothing to loose and all to gain.

I'll dig my RU940 out over the weekend and take a look

No joy?

I've followed the instructions as well as assorted Google searches, and I can't find a trace of "brand" anywhere on my Pronto... Any chance you fared better?

Hi,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Was away for the weekend. I can't find the screen as mentioned on mine either.

Sorry I can't help further.

I found a site that has a download with and .ict file for the Micro 2, but don't know what it actually does or if that includes the hex codes. Some futher reading on that site may help. it also has a rmdu file!

JP1 Remotes :: File Section

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dl...&file_id=10736

I opened both in notepad and they show codes etc so if you can work out how the hex codes work you may be able to program the Pronto with them via the editor!
