A pair of PowermidXS like these will do the job for you.

Re: IR repeter, extender

can i ask how small these things are? I was previosuly put of the powermids as I assumed they would be difficult to hide...

i have a rf converter. Its a little transmitter than sits in your exisiting remote (where a battery would go) and converts the signal. It works great with my amp, but is a little dodgy with my STB.

From Marmitek web site: 52x29x54mm.
I know about those battery shaped devices but haven't used one - they sound like a good idea for some applications.

I have just purchased a IR repeater kit from the boyz at Keene. They were excellent on the phone and were able to help me by supplying a panel fitted IR receiver that can be flush mounted onto the door of my cabinet.

Keene Electronics: Remote Controls And Ir Distribution

check out this thread.

the powermids are a great bit of kit as well.

Hope this helps
