Harmony 785 dying?

Had the 785 for about 18months now and it's been one of my best gadget purchases of all time. However just recently it appears to be struggling, requires a bit more of a shake rather than a tilt to get the LCD to wake-up and the buttons seem to be slightly less responsive.

Seems like a sure sign that it's fading, any thoughts?

Don't really know the answer for your particular device, but that sounds like a symptom of the power supply voltage dropping. Harmonys have an inbuilt rechargeable battery and it's possible this is starting to fail. Does the remote work better immediately after a full charge?
