I Need Help finding the right Harmony Logitech Remote!!

Hi all,
I am about to purchase a Sony Dav-IS10 surround system but it comes with no remote. The original remote is around £60 but i have been informed that a Harmony Logitech remote will do the same job.
Can anyone confirm if this remote will cover all functions (setting the speaker volume levels etc..) and also where i can find one of these for as cheap as possible??

THANKS ALL
Fishox

A harmony remote will do way more than the original remote for this device. It will control all the devices you have (that are controlled by IR) and combine them into activities that power devices on and off and set inputs automatically, then have all the buttons mapped to preform commands for the devices in each activity.

I've added that model number to my account and there seems to be a decent set of commands on the database for it (including discrete on / off and input commands). As for setting speaker volume levels, I would guess that this is done via a menu on the device rather than specific IR commands.

Any harmony will do all of this. All models have the same base functionality with the more expensive ones having a few extra bells and whistles (like colour screens, touchscreens, favourite channel icons) and the most expensive ones can send RF to a receiver that converts the commands to IR using emitters to control the kit. This is for people who have their kit hidden away in a cupboard or different room.

Have a look at the different models - it really comes down to budget and taste. The cheapest is the 515 but that is limited to 5 devices. The 525 and up can control 15.

Personally I would get one from Amazon or other provider with a good return policy in case it doesn't quite do what you want it to.
