Harmony 1000 + Varilight dimmers?

Hi guys, was messing about with my harmony 1000 remote last night (first time out of the box after a year!) found it simple to set up but cant get it to work with my varilight dimmers properly.

I have 2 dimmers in the lounge (1 for main light, 1 for wall lights) at the moment the light on/off switches both dimmers on and off and no ability to dim anyone got any ideas how to set this up properly so i can control both dimmers seperately with the ability to dim.

Not looking to include it in any activities, just want to be lazy so i can switch them up and down from the sofa

Also are these remotes tempermental? one minute it works perfect on activities, and another time it wont switch the tv on in an activity etc so i have to keep going to ''Help'' ''Did this fix your problem'' etc

Re: Harmony 1000 + Varilight dimmers?

You can teach each light to react to different IR codes, the original lights instructions will tell you how to do it. In the harmony database, or on the original remotes you will then have the buttons presses 1 - 8 which can be used to control different lights.

You will need to dig out the light instructions and the original remote I think.

As for the TV not switching on, it could be any number of things, maybe a delay setting. You could try adding an extra power on command to the power settings for the TV
