Toshiba 42PW23P

hey,
my Toshiba 42PW23P was working great...until my daughter fell into it, knocking out both screens ....while they where out i decided to clean the inner screen (with just water) which was very dirty....ive put both screens back on and now the left and right sides of the screen look darker than normal, turning up the brightness does nothing to the sides. Also the top left and right corners of the screen has a small, very faint pink discoloration which ive only noticed since putting the screen back on.

is there anything that could have been knocked or something like that to cause this ?

Re: Toshiba 42PW23P

If you actually removed the screens to clean them then its probable that you put them back incorrectly - they have to face the right way.

The outer (lenticular) screen (vertical stripes) has black stripes on the ridges on one side (you might need a magnifying glass to see them tho) and these should be on the outer side facing the viewer.

The inner (fresnel) screen is a bit more problematic, as it looks the same on both sides.

If I remember rightly, there are part number stickers on one corner of each screen, and these should face away from each other( the front screen one facing the front, the rear screen one facing the rear)

Hope this helps!
