How to record by time??

Is it possible to record by time on the Humax Foxsat HDR (e.g, from 1pm - 4pm) so as to encompass several programs or do you have to go to "Table" and record each one individually??
Thanks.

You can make a manual setting. This is especially necessary if you are going on holiday for a couple of weeks or more. I cannot remember exactly how to achieve it but I have seen it on screen and in the manual. In your case you could use the guide and just "OK" all the programs you wish to cover.

Assuming this unit has timers like most other units, and there is no reason to think it will not, then probably the easiest way is to input the first programme from the guide in the usual way - which establishes all the parameters in the timer screen of channel / date and time etc.... and then simply extend the end time.

To achieve that goto the Schedule screen which displays the list of timers programmed [ assuming this is like the Foxsat HD unit then to get there press Guide then Yellow button]

In the schedule screen, select the programme you have just input.
Select the end-time, and input a new end-time using the numeric buttons.
Select OK and Press OK.

On the hdr go into the epg, press yellow (schedule) select the reservation, press yellow again to edit. You can change start time/end time and set a repeat pattern

Re: How to record by time??

First select the channel you wish to set the manual timer.

Press MENU and select the top icon (RECORD) then press OK.

Use the ARROW right key to select recording schedule.
This will bring up the timer window. Press OK which will then bring up the input screen display for manual settings.

It will automatically be selected for the channel you were viewing before you started.

Input your start and stop times etcetera using the digital 0 to 9 keys and the arrow keys for up/down and side movements. Complete the table settings from top to bottom and select OK. All the info will then be listed in the recording schedule.

This is particularly use for FIVE TV which has a habit of splitting films by the news and if you aren't aware of this you will probably only get half the film recorded if using the EPG to select recording.
