Humax foxsat recording

I have a Humax Foxsat PVR with twin cables installed properly - I think. It shows two signals as far as I can tell. We can pause and play live etc and record programmes, but as soon as you start a recording it drastically reduces the normal channels that you can watch. For example I could record BBC3 but not be able to watch BB1 at the same time altough it would allow me to watch BBC2 etc.

I have been through all set ups and can't find a reason or reference. It was like that to start with and we contacted the installers and they came and fitted the second cable but I believe it's just the same now.

Any ideas?

Did you do a factory reset after installing the second cable, if not that's the cause of your problem. If you do a factory reset the stb should report 2 cables found. Before you do this check that the second cable has not been fitted to tuner 1 out rather than tuner 2 in. If so correct this before the reset

Re: Humax foxsat recording

Thanks .The reset seems to have worked. The installers mustn't have done it.

Cheers
