had my Thomson DHD4000 prv for about 6 yrs with no probs
Recently it won't record saying the hdd is full even thought there is loads of room left
The pause live tv function still works and its feeds live tv as normal
i've tried switching on+off at plug to 'reboot' but noothing seems to fix it
any ideas
if it is dead any suggestions on a decent replacement; minimum spec twin tuner,less than 200pounds, decent picture quality.

It may be that after so long the file system has become too fragmented to have significant contiguous chunks of space available causing it to report no space.

If you have an option to format the hard disc - it is an best thing to try.
