Humax 9200T recording problems

I'm hoping for some input on the following issue which I have with my 9200T after a few years stirling service. On an increasingly regular basis, new recordings are picking up the titles of existing programmes and apparently over-writing them. I then see two or even three recordings with the same title, but each is the new recording (having over-written the old) and if I play one then another it picks up the recording where I left it on the other one. Also, when I have re-named some of the recording to what they should have been (all "copies" of the programme are re-named at the same time) I find that when I delete one (all go) an empty copy appears in the listing where the original should have been.
I have re-set back to factory default, but this made no difference.

Any ideas out there please?

Re: Humax 9200T recording problems

You need to reformat. As a short term measure while watching or copying to PC anything you want to watch before formatting, do not delete or edit any corrupted recordings - consider protecting them to avoid accidental deletes. It is safe to rename them (I rename them them 'bad'), may just cause confusion though.

If you don't mind cracking the case you can try using HumaxRW to backup the files to PC then restore them after the format. Do a search on HumaxRW.
