Hi,

My parents have just got this from Argos, I believe it is a Vestel T825, re-badged by Alba.
I set it up for them, fine no problem. They like watching the soaps, so I series linked Corrie, Emerdale and Enders for the next seven days. All the programes were underlined in red on the EPG, and all appeared in the timer menu, with the letter s next to each one, showing it was series linked.

The problem is it does not record any of them, I deleted the timer menu and started again, same problem. If you set it to record not using the series link, it records fine.

After the problems with their previous Thomson recorder, it would be nice if it just done what its meant to do.

This will be a problem of the broadcasters not sending the appropriate codes rather than a problem of the box itself.

Is there any chance, where it is installed, has access to channels from two regions/transmitters.
This is known to cause issues with the Accurate Recording side of Freeview+
Check whether there are any channels numbered 800, 801 etc (not infallable but usually an indication) which would be regional channels duplicated from the alternate transmitter.
