I often have a problem deleting watched recordings. When on the correct menu; I often find that the "Delete" option is "greyed out". I can only delete in these circumstances by switching the unit into standby and then back on. Has anyone else encountered this problem - and perhaps solved it?

You can not delete whilst recording.

Thanks for replying Andy. No, I am not trying to delete whilst recording that program (unless you mean that deleting cannot take place at all if any recording is in progress). Normally, I start by selection "Media" and from the list of available recordings, I highlight the one I want, and press "ok". I then get the option to play it or delete it. I am finding that, having just played a recording and pressed "stop"; then exiting all menus, then press "Media" and highlighting the proram I just watched; when I press "ok" I get the wndow as before, offering to play it. But the option to delete it is now missing. If I use the procedure outlined in the manual (via the "File manager") I find that the delete option is "greyed out".

Thanks for this - having same problem.

It is very disappointing as once you have viewed a prog off disk I want to delete it there and then as per SKY+. To not be able to and have to do later house-keeping is very frustrating (as are many other features/limitations of this box having come fromSKY + HD).
