After much deliberation about freesat and any future HD services on Freeview I decided to replace my ageing Thomson DHD400 with a 9150 as an interim measure until it is clearer where things are going.
After initial set up and some problems getting the box to find channel 5 and associated channels on that mux, all seemed fine. I then had the box constantly booting after around 30 seconds of being on a channel. Reset all to defaults as advised in another post and rescanned, the box now works.
The problem I have now is that when switching to any Five channel or shopping channels there is no sound, perfect picture but no sound, after 30 seconds to a minute later the sound kicks in. The signal strength is 67% and quality 100%. My old 800T works flawlessly as do all other Freeview boxes around the house although the old Thomson did have some issues with Five at times. Do you think the box is faulty? I do not really want to return it and have the same with a replacement, anybody have any idea why It would have a delay on getting sound from these channels?
