Usually, I can figure this stuff out but I am a little perplexed. I have a pretty basic set-up but can't seem to figure a couple things out.

My components are as follows:
*HD TV
*HD cable box (no DVR)
*Non-HD Tivo
*Basic DVD player

Am I able to watch this TV in HD and use the tivo knowing that it won't record in HD?

Can someone recommend the best way to hook these up? Thanks in advance.

We could do with inputs and outputs on your devices, also model numbers.

I would also suggest that you may find better advice for Tivo, at avsforums.com, an american site similar to this UK/EU site. Tivo did launch in the UK a few years ago but has been withdrawn from the market to the eternal regret of a lot of us UK users.
