Question Thomson 6300-16

Can anybody shed any light on this one . I have just purchased a 40" Samasung TV with its own digital receiver. Now comparing the picture from Thomson 6300 and from TV set tuner the pictures from the Thomson are very grainy, with a bit of ghosting. Checked signal strenth . TV shows 8-9 , Thomson shows 5-6 (T1) , 6-7 (T2). The coax goes from wall to Thomson , from loop out to TV . So TV is last in the line with the best signal . Argh. I also have a digital aerial .

I am confused.

What you are seeing is scart cable crosstalk.
That is where the signal that the TV outputs on the scart socket interferes within the cable with the signal from the source device (your PVR).
The reason it is grainy is that the TV's analogue tuner is not properly tuned - it doesn't have to be if you're only using digital.
You simply need to replace the scart cable with a better quality one - with individually screened signal wires.
