PVR record from start of programme

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it on a search. Do any of the Freeview PVRs allow a programme to be recorded from the start, if the record button is pressed manually after the programme has already started? Thanks for any info.

The Humax PVR9200 continuously buffers the channel being viewed (from the return from the last interruption, ie. another channel, playback, or menu).
If you wish to record a missed start on the buffered channel, you have to rewind the buffer to that point before pressing record. Wherever it starts, the end time, displayed onscreen, is from the EPG so check and modify if you want recording to end later - or of course you can end manually before then.

I believe the Topfield can do what you ask more simply.

Indeed it can, the TF5800 (and I assume the new TF5810 also) will give you the option to record from the start of the Current Programme, assuming you have the continuous buffering function turned on.

To add to the above, that only works if you have not changed channels since the start of the programme.

Re: PVR record from start of programme

Hi again, thanks to all who replied. I have a Humax PVR 8000T and am thinking of getting the 9200, so it looks like a good choice.
