series link - failure?

had damges (BBC1) and skins (E4) on series link (on a Humax 9200TB) and neither were in the schedule for last night. I know damages wasn't on but can anyone shed any light on why they were not in the schedule? I re-inpuit them but I thought the series link would mean I didn'rt have to do this.

Other factors to consider - 2 small children who love to push buttons !

Thanks
Wilby

Re: series link - failure?

Plenty of similar reports around, don't think anyone's found a reliable solution yet, apart from installing older firmware. My 9200 also did it with repeat timers. You can try a couple more 'reset to defaults' and some have suggested downgrading to v20 then back up to v21 can help.

I'd speculate that when Humax fixed the problem with repeat timers not being deleted in firmware 1.00.00.20 they got it very wrong. I think the data that tells the 9200 whether each slot is SL or a plain or repeat timer is either being trashed or not read correctly, causing slots to be misinterpreted at random. Installing v20 may clear out the trash.

If you don't ever use repeat timers or autopadding I'd suggest firmware v20 as a good bet, otherwise v10 (v15 is showing some 'interesting' timer related bugs here).
