humax - change - edit channels?

hi everyone, i bought a humax pvr 9200tb last week, very impressed with it so far.
question - my bbc1 and bbc2 channels seem to pause and break up quite regularly when i view them.
however there is a bbc1 on channel 800 and a bbc2 on channel 801 which are perfect pictures with no viewing faults.
is there a way to swap them around? i.e so channel 800 becomes channel 1(bbc1) and 801 becomes channel 2 (bbc2).

or so when i press 1 i get channel 800 and when i press 2 i get channel 801?
hope ive put this across ok - cant see anything in the manual.

thankyou

Re: humax - change - edit channels?

You have channels tuned from 2 transmitters and it will cause a lot of problems. Seems to be a problem with firmware v21 deciding to tune weak signals.

You need to delete the bad channels and retune manually, probably easiest to retune them all.

1: Find the 6 multiplex channel numbers for your transmitter here.

2: in Menu->Edit Channels->Edit Channel Lists delete all channels

3: when it tries to scan for channels select Manual Search, type in each number from (1), hit Search then Save

4: check you have no duplicate channels (in the 800 range)

No, Freeview receivers, automatic scan, will search the UHF from channels 21 to 68. As channels are found, they are stored in the defined LCNs. When the LCN for channels found is already occupied by one from a lower UHF broadcast, the new one (usually) is assigned a different LCN out of the way, often starting at 800.

The only way to sort it properly is to use the manual tuning technique and enter the six prefered Mux frequencies first. If you desire to have additional regional channels, (such as BBC1 or ITV1 from a neighbouring region) enter their frequencies after the preferred six. The Humax is partcularly useful in this respect as you can remove unwanted channels from the found list before storing wanted ones.
