Unhappy Humax PVR-9200T

Hi new to this site..advice needed we have a Humax PVR-9200tn about 3 years old.It has developed a very annoying fault.
Its very difficult to access the functions using the remote,we have changed the batteries to no avail. Sometimes it will work, but only with much faffing on.

Could it be the remote is u/s or the sensor on the device is faulty?..are the remotes
expensive to replace?
Another annoying fault is it freezes and we have to use the switch at the back to turn it on and off.

Thanks for your help

Regards Bob

Do you know which firmware it has? (look in the menu under system) - the latest is 1.00.23

Did the problems start suddenly? The described symptoms are sometimes apparent after broadcaster changes. Try doing a defaults setting followed by a manual tune (pending timers will need to be reprogrammed).
If the PVR is frozen that you are unable to access the menus, power it off and disconnect the cable from the aerial-in of the PVR, then power on and try again.
Then report what symptoms remain.

Humax

The problem has been ongoing for some time, slowly getting worse, it has the latest software.

I have done a default setting and it seems much better, time will tell tho!

Thanks for your advice.

Cheers Bob

I have got the same problem, the latest firmware fixed the issue until DSO then it reappeared. Have you contacted Humax?
