For the last few months I have been having a problem with the sound transfer from my pen drive to my Foxsat HDR. The sound comes and goes with in seconds. I have tested the pendrive transfer on the computer and its fine, its only when I have transferred it to the foxsat this happens. Here is a copy from D-town that I converted from their site to a vob file. General Complete name : E:\Video\DVD\Episode 120 D-Town TV.vob Format : MPEG-PS File size : 419 MiB Duration : 21mn 14s Overall bit rate : 2 758 Kbps Video ID : 224 (0xE0) Format : MPEG Video Format version : Version 2 Format profile : Main@Main Format settings, BVOP : Yes Format settings, Matrix : Default Duration : 21mn 14s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 2 511 Kbps Nominal bit rate : 9 800 Kbps Width : 720 pixels Height : 576 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 25.000 fps Standard : PAL Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.242 Stream size : 382 MiB (91%) Audio ID : 128 (0x80) Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Mode extension : CM (complete main) Duration : 21mn 14s Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 192 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Stream size : 29.2 MiB (7%) Here is the details from the .ts file General ID : 1 Complete name : G:\Episode 120 D-Town TV_20120722_0836.ts Format : BDAV Format/Info : Blu-ray Video File size : 469 MiB Duration : 21mn 11s Overall bit rate : 3 086 Kbps Maximum Overall bit rate : 35.5 Mbps Video ID : 4113 (0x1011) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : MPEG Video Format version : Version 2 Format profile : Main@Main Format settings, BVOP : Yes Format settings, Matrix : Default Duration : 21mn 14s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 2 763 Kbps Nominal bit rate : 9 800 Kbps Width : 720 pixels Height : 576 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 25.000 fps Standard : PAL Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.266 Stream size : 420 MiB (90%) Audio ID : 4352 (0x1100) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Mode extension : CM (complete main) Duration : 21mn 14s Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 192 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Stream size : 29.2 MiB (6%) I am at a loss as to what to do. I don't want to waste disks as I know DVD would be better and resolve the problem. So any ideas please? |

Okay, it seems I have had no responses here. I am sure someone here has an idea, so could anyone advice me as I am being driven mad by poor sound. The only free software that will convert to .vob files for me with accuracy and ability to change the spec is FormatFactory.
