Recording problems with my PVR

Hi All, I am having problems with my Marks and SpencerPVR 80 GB, it will record the channel you are watching and will play back fine BUT if I am watching say BBC1 and record something on say ITV 1 it records but when you play it back it jumps all over the place and the words don't match the mouths. This seems to be happening only if I am watching a different channel to the channel I am recording. Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Have you tried rebooting the PVR as in removing the mains power then restoring it/switching back on?
If that doesn't help try retuning the PVR as in 1st time installation.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reply, yes I did a re-boot on it but did not try the first time installation, so will give that a go and see what we get.
Thank you

Problems recording on pvr

Hi Jaycee, I tried the first time installation but unfortunately it made no difference. When I record itv the recording jumps about a lot but on bbc it only jumps a few times in 30 minutes. I tried recording on itv, channel 4, and channel 5 and the recording jumps and the picture freezes but on bbc1 and bbc2 it only happens a few times in 30 minutes. Any more ideas for me to try before I invest in a new model.
Regards

Hi Mistyscamp, if the box is still under warranty/guarantee I'd return it, doesn't sound right. If your budget can stretch to it go for a Humax pvr £150ish, alternatively check out e-bay for maybe a Logik 160gb/250gb freeview pvr, they can be had for £30-£40 unused (acc to seller)in auction with a 12-month warranty from a specific seller- x-traders. Apologies moderators, if I'm not meant to mention specific sellers/sites.
