Freesat, PVR, with blueray player?

I all, i am new to this part of AV. I am looking for a Free-sat, PVR, with blue-ray player, not recorder.

I want to dump Sky as we use very few of the channels, but would still like to be able to record and time shift programs.

Having a blue-ray player included will remove at least one box.

I do require good quality pic's as I am driving a B&O tv.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Peter.

Afaik the only Freesat box ever made with blu-ray was the Panasonic range which also recorded.

OP will have to satisfy with including recordable BD (Panasonic) or two boxes. The latter would be preferable to including a BD player in a PVR.
Samsung make Freeview PVRs with built-in BD player. Their PVRs are not well thought of and being able to choose a PVR from one manufacturer and a separate BD player is advisable.

Thanks

Thank you both for your replies, it would seem that I am not going to be able to reduce the number of boxes in my system. Oh well! I will have to put up with it.

I have now looked at the Panasonic and i would never use blueray recording so that makes it a very expensive proposition.

From the research I have undertaken it would appear that one of the Humax range would be the best choice?

Any comments would be welcome.

The Panasonic IS an expensive proposition. However, as Panasonic have discontinued their Freesat PVR range (and only relatively recently) you might be able to get a clearance bargain.

You don't specify which B&O television you are using, but my local B&O dealer ran a Humax Foxsat from a separate room to feed a BeoVision 7-40.

Clearly, I don't know your budget - but regarding a suitable Bluray player for your B&O, a pre-owned BeoCenter2 might be an option - LifeStyle AV | Pre-owned Bang & Olufsen you can trust
