Pace Twin repeat event conflict

Could someone post the link to the good chap who has tabulated firmware faults and updates for the twin ... just had a search and couldn't find it.
Just bought a second box for the g/f, updated march03 software to last weeks repeat. Gone to load up the timer with weekly repeats and got to the second programme and it tells me there is a timer conflict with the another recording. (half hour overlap in times but different days weekly)
I think this was a flaw in earlier software releases and don't know if there is a work around for it meantime.

If anyone can help!

tia,

I haven't tried this myself. As I recall the number of repeats for a repeating event can be set, or it can repeat "forever".

The note refers to a minimum number of repeats of 2, but you could just set "forever" and this would be fine. Either way you need to delete the "unwanted" repeating event after you've got the recording.

The repeats were set forever. Not had a chance to try it but I thought it might have meant set the conflict as the second programme entry ie rather than thursday then friday, program friday then thursday.
Weird how its never happened on my box and it repeats weekly almost everyday.

I have not tried this enough times for it to be conclusive, but if you set your timer events while the Pace is recording the conflicting events bug seems to go away. Also, the events go in much quicker - there is no 'Please wait...' while processing a timer event.

Please let me know if anyone finds this is the case and then perhaps we should notify Pace to assist them in debugging for the next software update.

Spok.

I think the box does as it pleases, I entered the events in reverse order which seemed to have worked, but then additional one off events gave the conflict which had to be changed to weekly.
Seriously thinking about returning the box to Argos for a refund (£350) under sale of goods act and getting another.
With the way pace are going with the upgrades a lot of boxes are going to be out of warranty soon and whats to say the new software is going to be the end of it.

The "going in much quicker" during recording will be down to the fact that the disk is already spinning when recording. The 'Please wait...' is displayed while the disk is spinning up.
