Pace Twin Audio....Problem?

I have the 2 phono connectors from the Pace running into an AV reciever, which does all sound for my components.

If the reciever is on and set to 'TV' If I turn the Pace off I get a whistling sound through the reciever, until I either turn off the TV or the reciever.

I don't know if a Toslink connection will solve this (i have one on order), does it sound like a fault to any of you?

Thanks
Skiddins

I think you have some other connections in place, too. Such as:

a connection from the TV (eg via SCART) to the Pace.
a connection from the AV receiver to the TV.

What you describe sounds like a feedback loop. Something like:

TV > Pace (via SCART) > Amp > TV > Pace (etc). Or similar but in another sequence.

You need to break one of these connections.
