Re: Humax pvr9150t

Download expected early December for this box. Google 'DTG Updates (or downloads)'

Suggest manual update, check daily for when it's available.

Everyone has this issue so it will get fixed and a new box won't change anything.

This is "normal" while the latest firmware update is "evaluated".
Humax say it's due to broadcast changes. Forum members are collating data to determine what is common to those with/without the retune popup.

Why do they have to test software on us? They should test it before release, I mean not everyone with one of these boxes is a forum user. There will be thousands of people out there struggling and worrying about it, pensioners etc.

To carry out a thorough testing programme including extensive Beta testing would take a very long time. If this happened then there would protests from users complaining about the delay. That was obvious from the postings on these forums. The issues during the Granada DSO activities were so serious that emergency action was required IMO.

Agreed, whilst it is a pain to get the pop-up every now and then it takes no effort to cancel it, much better than having the unit freeze up and miss recording programs as was happening before to many users. I'm sure it will be sorted soon enough.

At least Humax do appear to listen to their customers and try to fix the problems with their equipment. Unlike Sony who have taken over two months to accept that there may be a problem with the RDR-HXD860 (and similar) recorders since the 30 September Freeview retunes (there is a problem with the EPG not showing and when it does not being able to set a timed recording from it) and even then we are not too sure if they are going to resolve it
