Humax 9200T - recordings on ITV do not end when they should?

Hello,

My Humax has developed a problem. When I set an item to record from ITV from the guide, I find that the recording starts fine, but it does not stop, it just keeps going and going until the HD is full or I stop it manually.

Any ideas how I can fix this? (does not happen on BBC stations).

Thats a strange one, have you checked your signal strength to make sure its strong enough?

As far as i can tell, all seems to be as it should be.
So I have performed a system reset and a re-scan of stations.
I have set an ITV item to record, so I will report back what happens....

If you have done a rescan may i suggest something? Go through the channel list and delete any duplicate channels, you may find more than one:-
ITV
ITV4
Cbeebies

This can also cause problems with the PVR.

So, the recording stopped just as it should have done. I will continue testing.
I wonder why it needed a rest?
Well, as long as it's working now.

I did the reset after reading advice on this forum, so thanks guys!

Assuming you are using your 9300 with Recording Preferences set to On Time then if it did not stop a recording this suggests it did not for some reason receive on act on the EITp/f (Now/Next) transition data to stop the recordings. Even if this was the case the recording should not have continued for more than 3 hours as there is a fall back function to prevent this.

Well, so far, the unit has been working OK after a system reset.
Not done much recording yet though, I will do some more testing this evening.
When it was having the issue the recording would not stop, and just keep going and going...

You are right it was as if the signal that said 'OK stop recording' was not being received, just letting the thing go on and on....
