Humax Freesat HDR + Freesat TV

I have a Freesat PVR (which is great) and am wondering if I bought a TV with Freesat built in - I'm thinking of the Panasonic Viera NeoPDP G10 Series 42" TX-P42G10 / HD 1080p / Freesat / Freeview Plasma TV - will i have 3 useable tuners? ie can I then record 2 programs at once via the Humax and watch another channel on the Tv's tuner? If so how would the connections be made between the tv pvr and duakl lnr's - many thanks in advance!

To get proper use of all three tuners I think you would need a quad lnb at the dish and two feeds coming from the dish to the humax and a third feed coming to the television

The hdr already lets you watch some 3rd channels while recording two, some recording combinations let you watch any other channel. You can influence what 3rd channel viewing is possible by varying the region you record (if there is an alternative) sometimes to give 100% 3rd programme viewing.

Try starting an instant recording on 108 (BBC HD) and 951 (BBC1 CI) you should now not only be able to view any other channel but pause it live as well

I know this is possible but trying to work out if it would be worth me paying the extra for a Freesat TV or not.

Ive got that set up ( different Panasonic freesat TV) and yes you can record two channels and watch another via the TV.
Dont forget you also get freeview on the TV so you can see Dave which isnt on freesat yet.

I guess it depends on how much you want to watch a third freesat exclusive channel. If you have a decent freeview signal (I have two freeview pvrs as well as the hdr and a freeview tuner in the TV so it's never a problem).
