Humax PVR9200T - not recording while watching

One of our Humax PVR9200Ts has stoppeed recording the channel being watched, so we can't pause or rewind the programme, it will record if we press the record button while watching and recording programmes from the schedule and EPG also work but it is annoying.

Any thoughts?

It's worth doing a full reset if you haven't already tried it. If you don't have any recordings that you want to watch on the HDD, it's worth formatting that too.

What do you mean by a full reset, I've tried turning it off at the rocker switch on the back.

Menu | Installation | Default Setting.

You will have to reprogram any Series Links & programmed recordings.

The buffer on the HDD is corrupt. It should be sufficient to do a FORMAT (although this will lose all existing recordings).
If you don't want to do that AND are competent to open the PVR and connect its HDD to a PC, one of the gurus at Hummy.org has a utility which can recreate the buffer, without losing recordings.
