Question One PVR two TV's any ideas?

Hi
I've recently ditched sky+ and I'm now using a PVR. When I had sky I had a cable from the living room to the other room and a magic eye and had usable sky in both rooms is there any way to do the same thing with a PVR.

I've done Maplins and it's a £50 video sender and the picute isn't brilliant.

Is there a way to use what I already have cable wise?

Any help or ideas?
Cheers
M

First question has the pvr got an internal modulator same as a Sky box ?. If not you need to add an external modulator to transmit the picture/audio as a analogue channel over coax. To facilitate remote control you can use the video sender as just a remote extender. Add extra bits to use the magic eye or buy a wireless remote extender

Re: One PVR two TV's any ideas?

Hi Graham
Sorry I have no idea if it has an internal modulator. The box I’ve got is a Logik LPVR 168 and on the basis it wasn’t very expensive I’m going to guess that it hasn’t. (can you enlighten me?)

So the questions which follow are
Where do you get external modulators?
What extra bits do you add to the magic eye?
Could you give me an idea as to the cost please?
Thanks in advance
M

The Logik LPVR 168 is made by Vestel and doesn't have an RF Modulator.

If the RF sender has remote control return then I don't think you will need anything else

As long as the only part you require is the modulator then the link above is for ~£20, but there may be cheaper and Amazon do have some for a fair bit more - see Here for their other options.

Mark.

To continue to use a magic eye you need two things

1 a 9V power supply for the eye
2 A gadget that turns the remote control signals coming down the coax back into Infra Red (This has the advantage that it can transmit remote control info to pretty well any remote box using a magic eye)

Both are available from here (may be other equivalents as well)

I see others have pointed you at external modulators. If you have a vcr you can usually use it's modulator by connecting the pvr vcr scart to the pvr vcr scart and selecting the vcr scart as the input on the vcr.
