psp 2000 and 3000

i bought my b/f a charging dock and tv link it says on the box 2000 but im not sure if hes getting a 2000 or 3000 but would it matter which one will the dock still work for both

I wouldn't have thought it should be a problem. The main differences between the 2000 and 3000 are the screen, the addition of a microphone and the ability to use composite output leads for games. I believe that the dimensions and everything else are identical.

thank you he only reason i asked was i keep seeing online that the 3000 is slimmer and weighs less so i was a little concerned i already wrapped it too
