follow these instructions and you will be away with the new GT, FIFA etc and future releases (you are the man Yoshihiro)

Re: help on custom firmware changes on psp

Put the update in game folder and also it will not affect your games in any way. Put the 550.pbp on root.

Re: help on custom firmware changes on psp

Upgrade to Gen D worked (I had to put EBOOT into GAME\UPDATE, not just into GAME).

Gen D2 though says corrupted data rather than showing the file name on the PSP.

Is there a different process for this?

Thanks

Tim

Re: help on custom firmware changes on psp

Downloaded D2 from a different site which seems to work:

Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D2 Released | Download CFW 5.50 GEN-D2, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

Re: help on custom firmware changes on psp

...but Gran Turismo will not work with it.

You just get the splashscreen and the message about auto saving and then just a black screen.

I tried from 3.8 but it did not work so i just went through the updates 4.1 to 5.0 to 5.50 gend and then it worked fine. Took about 1 hour to suss out at the first attempt, but plays all the games i've tried.
