£10 in my virtual wallet that I need to spend

Following on from all of the tremendous advice I received from you lot after getting a PS3 earlier this week, I've been looking at the Store and added £10 to spend.

As you all know, there's a lot of stuff on there and I really don't know where to start, so I'm after some recommendations.

I'd like someting that's maybe a bit different and isn't already available on the 360. I seen 'The Last Guy' and heard a bit about 'Flower', but are there any other hidden gems on there?

Also, what are PS1 titles like on an HD TV through the PS3? My daughter saw 'The Little Mermaid 2' as I was browsing...

I've also seen Echochrome and Noby Noby Boy (which looks a bit mental). Can anyone recommend these?

Noby Noby Boy is random, I'm warning you now. If you don't mind complete weirdness, go for it, it's a great laugh.
Also, a fantastic one to get is Super Stardust HD. Very very addictive and absolutely brilliant

High velocity bowling is good with some like minded ppl

You use the controller with the sixaxis to actually 'bowl' the balls down the lane. It works well...

Re: £10 in my virtual wallet that I need to spend

Yeah Super-stardust HD is a great game and with the left over cash you could get the add on packs allowing you to play split-screen. Wipeout HD is also fantastic and will keep you entertained for many hours.

Re: £10 in my virtual wallet that I need to spend

Noby Noby Boy is pants. Wipeout is definately best value for money, though a bit more than your £10 (worth topping up the bit extra for )

Fat Princess looks very promising if you don't mind waiting for it's release.

Re: £10 in my virtual wallet that I need to spend

I went for Flower and Noby Noby Boy. You can't get much more 'different' than those!

I'll probably pick up some of your suggestions shortly too.

I love the Xbox Arcade stuff, and it looks like some of the stuff on the Store is right up my street too.

Re: £10 in my virtual wallet that I need to spend

A few of my favourite downloads are:

Worms (can't get enough of this classic)
Outrun
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars
High Velocity Bowling

My biggest disappointments so far have been PAIN & PixelJunk Monsters - PAIN being the worst. I'm half tempted to delete it in all honesty.

Re: £10 in my virtual wallet that I need to spend

So far I've bought Wipeout HD, a brilliant game.

Super Puzzle Fighter HD Remix, which I used to love on the PS1 and it's still addictive as hell, plus now online!

Lastly, the COD4 maps, had to be done...

Might get something new this month actually. Now sure about Flower though, looks a bit boring!
