re: Lumines Supernova

It happens ALL the time, so little reason to think it will change.

Usually due to language translations that need to be done, so I can't see that changing....hence I don't get uptight about it anymore.

It cost $76HK, according to XE it is about £6.50 here. Obviously, I will wait and see what the bill reads aas different places have different conversion rates.

Re: Lumines Supernova

I tried doing this on the US store the other day but needed to provide a cardholder address in the US so gave up. Created a HK account last night and worked it out to be around £9.50, may try and purchase later.

I know you can't register new cards on the US PSN store and I thought it was the same for the HK store too. I guess not.

Re: Lumines Supernova

For billing address I just used my real address with postcode + London - but at the bottom it say Hong Kong

Seriously, it is really easy, I imagine any Visa card, mastercard and (another card, I forgot the name) would work.

Still waiting to see how much it reads on my bill

I'm aware it easy as I've had a credit card registered on both the HK and US PSN stores since the US PS3 launch when I got my PS3. I was under the understanding that like with the US PSN store the ability of registering foreign cards was also disabled on the HK store.

Anyone bought this from the US or HK stores yet? Really liked this on the PSP, hope it's still as addictive. Guess we might get it in the UK next week if we're lucky.

If you liked the PSP version you'll like this, essentially a HD remix.

Trophies are rock hard tho!

Yes, I picked it up from the HK store. It's ok, don't really know if it was worth a tenner. I never had it on the PSP but used to enjoy a quick blast on the 360 demo. Guess I have to give it some more time to see if I get hooked.

Thanks people. Think I'll wait for the UK release though as I can't be bothered setting up another account. That is, if it ever gets a UK release...

Re: Lumines Supernova

it hit the store last night. Hopefully downloaded when I get home, along with the Killzone 2 demo.

I hope it lives up to expectation, because I played it to death on the PSP.

Been playing the KZ2 demo and not played LS much, but if you loved the PSP version, you'll like this. Not got mind blowing gfx or sound (in fact, am slightly disappointed by the choons vs PSP version so far and expected better gfx somehow), but it's the same love/hate nails game you'll remember.

Re: Lumines Supernova

One thing that really annoys me about this game is that the high score on the game screen always starts on 0 , so you dont know what the high score is without going onto another menu.

My wife and I used to have a "friendly rivalry" as to who could get the high score. Whats the point in having a high score indicator on screen which always resets to 0??

I just logged on to try and find an answer to this exact same problem, also on the local leaderboard all the names are blank, there is no option to input your name when you achieve a high score, so nobody in my house knows whos "winning"....its really annoying me???

Hopefully they will issue an update at some point. The only way we have got around it, and even then its far from ideal, is to always play on separate profiles so you can check what your high score is.

Hi

I'm not sure whether to just buy this. I've never played a Lumines game before but have always liked Tetris and this looks very Tetrisy so it kind of appeals to me, especially as it would always be available on the HD for a quick blast between other games. Recommended?

Cheers

Well,I am not a massive puzzle game fan,but I have always found lumines really addictive. I don't see it as a "quick blast" game however, as you can be playing for well over an hour on challenge mode and you can't save your progress either in that mode so you have to start all over again. There are other modes which are shorter such as puzzle mode, and you can play any level you have unlocked as well. It also gets very difficult!
