Looks very crisp, and mad in the best way

I've seen only about 12 seconds worth of video, so barely a glimpse. But IGN have written up a short preview, and they seem to love it too. And we can be certain that it's a multi player running about and shooting game.

With meat shields and fat princesses it looks like the world has figured out how to vary capture the flag

A kind of action game (you control individual characters rather than a RTS squad). There's standard deathmatch but also objective modes ( I think it's very much a vs game, with AI teammates in the single player mode). The spin on CTF seems to be that the flag is now a princess, who can be fattened up by the opposition forcing you to put more effort into carrying her back to base! Character classes add to the strategy-

There are five classes of characters to be in Fat Princess, and each has their own pros and cons. Swordsmen get a sword and shield, but they move slowly when they're blocking. Archers are quicker than most and can perform ranged attacks, but they can get cut down pretty easy in hand-to-hand combat. Wizards can hurl fireballs, Priests can heal their team and curse their opponents, and builders can reinforce your base.

Apparently switching classes is fast and easy in-game.

This looks like a proper fun little game. Day 1 for me I think. Anyone know when its releasing?. I heard it was 'springtime' so I'll take that to mean March/April hopefully.

According to the IGN site posted above it's now Summer '09 unfortunately.

This is what it says in the email

Anyone else having trouble with no sound in the beta.

Other than no sound all I can say is that this game amazing and very addictive. Teamwork is actually needed.

Downloaded this today and had a quick go. Graphics are nice but is it just me or does it all get a bit confusing once you get a load of players together in a big fight in one area of the screen?

Just all seems a bit hard to make out what's going on! (or maybe im just getting old)
