Anybody else having problems connecting to EA's servers?

I had the same trouble with Bad Company even though I was able to play it online last year. I've also tried any other EA games that I have and they all connect to EA with no bother .

Glad I got the trial version because I wouldn't have been happy paying a tenner for something that I can't play

Yup excactly the same problem ! Been trying to connect for over an hour now with no joy whatsoever , goddamit !

Wow, very good, my 30 min trial ran out pretty damn quick. No problem connecting, nice an smooth, no lag. gonna have to buy it now

For those wondering, yup it is pretty similar to Bad Company as expected. Controls/GFX Engine largely the same so if you didn't like BC then not likely to be swayed by this. Have to say, I enjoyed my 30 minutes!

For Battlefield 2/1942 vets from the PC, this will bring good memories flooding back! loooooove picking off those people hanging around waiting for planes (I like how they have placed ALOT of barrels around these points)

love the engine they have used. Found a sniper in a tower, laid some C4 and BOOM goes the dynamite - bye bye tower

To me it plays exactly the same as BF:BC.

Just different costumes and maps.

Thats not a bad thing though.

Thought they would have sorted out the stupid squad only comms situation.

I love it. Reminds me of the Battlefield of old! Those planes are damned hard to control though in the heat of battle, but thoroughly worth getting the hang of - I downed about 6 people in a row with a row of bullets and bombs . I tell you, when I'm in that plane "IT GOWNE RAIN!!!"

Great value purchase for just a tenner ! It brought back very fond memories of when I used to play this on the PC several years ago.

Sorry to hear some are suffering from server connection errors, hopefully this will be rectified quickly.

Really cheesed off tbh, tried all last night to try the demo that i downloaded it just wouldn't connect to EA

Its seems a couple of you were having this problem hopefully it will work today

I found the best way as with BFBC is to get in a squad and the start skype and voice comms through that. Me and zico were working together yesterday really well and spawning on each other so we were straight back in the battle.

Really liking what I have played of this game so far. Managed about 30mins before going out last night!

Planes are really difficult to fly! For £10 this game is a bargain. Looks as though the party system is the same as BFBC though so not always guaranteed to be on the same team as a friend!
