How much is my PS3 worth?

Looking for some help.

I have an original PS3 (one of the first ones made with the card readers in the front etc) that i'm thinking about selling due to it being used as nothing more than a very expensive dust collector at the moment. I have:

Console,
all cables,
HDMI cable,
2 wireless controllers,
2 charging cables,
Singstar with 2 mics,
F1
Warhawk
Ratchet & Clank
Heavenly Sword
Motorstorm
Got about 10-15 songs downloaded on Singstar and also Wipeout HD
All boxed with instructions and in absolute mint condition

What the maximum I can expect for all this lot?

If that's right then I'm better off keeping it, was going to sell it and buy a Blu Ray player and use the difference to buy my ticket to MGM and Disney in April.

£200 isn't a lot though

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

no way ithink you are dreaming £270 is more like. remember the person buying the ps3 wont be able to have the dowloads if they want the ps3 wiped clean of your old user. £550 is way off sorry

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

I'd stick with the 200-ish estimate. Only reason otherwise if the 60 gigs are indeed going for silly money on Ebay. Disk space isn't really an issue as you can upgrade easily and backward compatibility is resolved with an old PS2. If they're going for the region of £500 odd, I'll probably sell mine and get new one and put the rest towards a new telly.

That's generally true with buying and selling consoles. You'll lose a lot selling it and then might regret it later. Then it'll cost you a lot more to get back to where you were.

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

The real figure is between the two ridiculous extremes of pricing at about £370 to maybe £420 I would guess but if you ebay it remember to get your wording right and time the auction to end at a good time you should get past £400. If its scratched or doesn't have its original packing the price will drop a bit.

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

I sold my 60GB on its own(boxed with everything that came with it) for £339.99 on play.com just 2 weeks ago. Try selling on there mate as this month there are no fees for your first 10 sales.

Your best bet is ebay, play.com, amazon etc (Although I'm not keen on ebay) or even a local paper.

You should get at least £350 for that lot if you go down the route I suggested.

On these forums expect £350 as an absolute maximum.

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

Have noticed that with the 360 games, I don't NEED to sell it so I'm not going to drop down to a silly price, there is a lot of gear there and i'm sure there will be someone out there who will pay a decent amount for it, whether that be through ebay or play.com

Appreciate your help

You could put a ferrari for sale, then Mr smart ass comes in (bearing in mind he doesn't even want to buy your item) and says he can pick it up for 10p from Bobs cars (bearing in mind that bobs cars is a website that looks like it was knocked up by dodgy dave in 5 minutes).

I've sold a hell of a lot on these forums, and I tell you now that it's not as good selling on here as it used to be in my opinion.

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

As already mentioned, the downloaded stuff is worthless, unless you want to give the new owner your psn account. Singstar and Warhawk are tied to the psn account that bought them, no game sharing on those, and WipEout hd is shareable but you'd need to leave your psn details on the machine so it can be played. I'd just format it and not include the downloaded stuff.

You still should get £300 to £350 for it boxed and with the other bits, maybe more - people are willing to pay a bit more for the 60gb machines for the extra features.

Re: How much is my PS3 worth?

If he is selling and not replacing he can surely leave the user id signed on, and just delete card details etc? Effectively adding £50ish to the package.

watch a few on ebay, my initial estimate might have been a touch high, but I reckon you would get well over £400, and nearer £500 with those games listed. I'm watching about half a dozen, will let you know

Got it listed on the classified section for £450 just to try and drum up some offers, not a thing at the moment.

LOL, that made me smile, true, how true. and to avoid spamming, good luck with the sale, I hope the forementioned does not happen to you. Though it is harder as your post is unique in the fact that it is multiple items, so hard to find a definitive exact link on Dodgy Daves website

http://www.avforums.com/forums/ps3-c...b-console.html to his sale for all you eager buyers
