PS3 Warranty/Continuous Play

I'm about to get a PS3, not sure what to do about the warranty. Is it better to get it from Sony or from the retailer you buy from? I've heard about Continuous Play and it sounds like a good idea but at £60 a year it's quite expensive (especially seeing as a store like John Lewis offers a 3 year warranty for just £50). What are your thoughts?

Re: PS3 Warranty/Continuous Play

Tbh it doesn't really matter who you buy it from (obviously get the best deal you can), Sony are so good that all you have to do is ring them up and they'll replace your PS3 if anything goes wrong.
From what I've read here on AVF, it sounds like they'll do it even if you're out of warranty
