ps3 audio optical with harmon kardon

I have searched and haven't found a clear answer for this so here it goes.

I have a ps3 and a harmon kardon AV receiver. The receiver is the 235 and older one but still really good. I go hdmi into my tv set and optical out to my receiver. I have the bd audio set on bitstream and under regular audio I have on dolby and dts also pcm 2 channel 44 and 48. What is ACC and should I turn this on as well and should I turn on the higher pcm's? also it seems like when I watch a blue ray disc (iron man) I have to turn the volume up more than when I play a game or watch an mp4. I have to turn up my receiver to like 20 where as an mp4 i can have it at 35. any help would be appreciated.

also should I leave all the crossover settings at 100 mhz on the receiver? I have as my fronts 2 sony towers, 1 - 10 inch sub, a tivoli center channel, and some fairly big sony book shelf speakers for my rears. I have the center set as small the fronts as large and the rears as large.

thanks.
