I have an IR remote and USB dongle made by BigBen Interactive, it works quite well apart from one really really annoying aspect. It always sets itself as the number 1 controller and therefore the the Sony DualShock PS3 controller is assigned as number 2

Some games like GT and also Home don't seem to recognise the Sony controller when its in the 2 position.

So is there anyway of making the IR dongle default to anything but position 1?
